Information Used

FDA Daily may use the following to provide the app features described on this page:

• daily FDA regulatory briefings
• reading status and archive access state
• search queries
• subscription status

Storage

FDA Daily stores your watchlist choices, reading feedback, and reminder settings on your device only. They are never sent to its server. The backend keeps no account, no profile, and no per-reader activity — it serves the same daily briefing to everyone.

Permissions

Network access fetches the daily briefing and the archive. Notification access delivers the optional daily reminder. In-app purchase access manages premium briefing access.

Sharing

Reader data is not sold and not shared. There is no analytics SDK and no advertising identifier. Payment processing and subscription status are handled by Apple. Source material remains public U.S. FDA record.

Third Parties We Share Data With

• openFDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) — The source of every regulatory action in the app. FDA Daily's backend reads openFDA (api.fda.gov) on a schedule; the app itself never contacts it. No reader data of any kind is sent to openFDA — the requests ask only for public FDA records by date range. openFDA terms: https://open.fda.gov/terms/
• Xiaomi MiMo (Xiaomi Corporation, People's Republic of China) — The cloud AI provider that rewrites FDA records into plain language and translates them into Simplified Chinese. It receives only the text of public FDA records — product names, company names, decision codes, recall classifications and dates. No reader data, no account identifier, and no device identifier is ever sent. This runs on the server on a daily schedule, never in response to anything a reader does.
