Glimpse Privacy Policy

Information Used

Glimpse may use the following to provide the app features described on this page:

• the daily scenes and questions it downloads from Glimpse's server (the same for every player)
• your play history and streak (kept on your device only; they also build your gallery and accuracy stats)
• your settings such as pace and the optional daily reminder (kept on your device only)
• your Glimpse Membership status (reported to the app on your device by Apple)

Storage

Glimpse has no account and collects no personal data. Your play history, streak, settings, and downloaded scenes are stored only in the app's private storage on your device; none of it is uploaded to Glimpse's server or anywhere else. The server keeps no profile and no per-player record — it serves the same scenes and questions to everyone. It keeps standard request logs (IP address and user agent) for security and rate limiting only. Deleting the app removes its data from your device; images you saved to Photos stay in your photo library. Standard iOS device backups may include app data depending on your device backup settings.

Permissions

Network access downloads the daily scenes and questions from Glimpse's server. Notifications (optional) deliver the daily reminder. It is scheduled on your device, not sent from a server, and you can turn notifications off at any time in iOS Settings. Photos (optional, add-only) lets Glimpse save an image, such as a share card, to your photo library when you share or export it. Glimpse can add images but cannot see the photos already in your library. App Tracking Transparency is not requested. Glimpse does not use IDFA or any cross-app tracking identifier.

Sharing

No personal data is sold or shared. There is no analytics SDK, no advertising, no advertising identifier, and no tracking. When the app downloads the daily scenes and questions from Glimpse's server (glimpse.timwuhaotian.dev), the requests carry no user data. Purchases are processed by Apple; the developer never receives your payment details. Scene images are generated with AI on the server before each exhibit is published, and no player data is ever sent to the AI provider. A share card or other image leaves your device only when you choose to share or save it.

Third Parties We Share Data With

• Apple (Apple Inc., United States) — Processes Glimpse Membership purchases, free trials, and renewals through the App Store (StoreKit), and tells the app on your device whether your membership is active. • MiniMax (Shanghai MiniMax, People's Republic of China) — The cloud AI provider that Glimpse's server uses ahead of time to plan and generate each scene image, check the questions against the finished image, and translate each exhibit's title. It receives only the developer's own scene material — no player data, no account identifier, and no device identifier is ever sent.
