Storage
GovBid Daily stores your watchlist choices, reading feedback, and reminder settings on your device only. They are never sent to its server. The backend keeps no account, no profile, and no per-reader activity — it serves the same daily briefing to everyone.
Permissions
Network access fetches the daily briefing and the archive. Notification access delivers the optional daily reminder. In-app purchase access manages premium briefing access.
Sharing
Reader data is not sold and not shared. There is no analytics SDK and no advertising identifier. Payment processing and subscription status are handled by Apple. Source material remains the public SAM.gov record.
Third Parties We Share Data With
SAM.gov (U.S. General Services Administration) — The source of every opportunity in the app. GovBid Daily's backend reads SAM.gov's public contract-opportunity extract and public notice attachments on a schedule; the app itself never contacts SAM.gov. No reader data of any kind is sent to SAM.gov — the requests ask only for public notices. MiniMax (Shanghai MiniMax, People's Republic of China) — The cloud AI provider that rewrites public SAM.gov notices into plain language and translates them into Simplified Chinese. It receives only the text of public contract notices and their public attachments — titles, agencies, requirements, codes and dates. No reader data, no account identifier, and no device identifier is ever sent. This runs on the server on a daily schedule, never in response to anything a reader does.
